what if the guy i love just ends up breaking my heart someday?
Well for starters, you can’t play the ‘What If Game’. We often start to get ahead of ourselves in life and think, “What if he breaks my heart?”, “What if my new job doesn’t work out?” ect…. That game never has any answers at the time. It only adds stress and worry, about something that might not ever happen! Why worry about something that might not ever happen, right? That is just foolish. You should hope for the best but prepare for the worst (though, it’s hard to really prepare for some things in life), and live in the moment. As hard as it can be, I would try to just stay in the present. Whenever I start playing the “What If Game”, I just think to myself that I will cross that bridge when I come to it because I can’t do anything about it now.
And my advice on love comes from personal experience. The only way to really love is to take away all the bullshit. And by bullshit, I mean your own personal walls or any games people tend to play during a relationship (example: Not calling for a day to see what happens, trying to make their partner jealous, saying things to test certain reactions, holding back feelings.) Just don’t do it! Life is so much easier and wonderful without it. And what’s the worst that can happen? You end up getting hurt. Is it the end of the world? No. You deal with it and move on because you have no other choice. I mean, you can dwell on the fact that you got hurt and live in the past but you’ll never be happy. It just wasn’t meant to be and he just wasn’t the right guy for you. So you move on. You won’t have any regrets if you just be yourself and see where the relationship takes you. Because, what’s the best that can happen? You can live happily ever after! =)
