This Too Shall Pass

'This Too Shall Pass' is my favorite saying that is from an old story involving King Solomon. There are many versions of this folktale and I always encourage others to research and read up on it. Enjoy!

As far as this blog goes.... This Too Shall Pass....
I leave you with pictures and quotes that were once popular.

Goodbye

havent-got-a-prayer:

Lately, I’ve been struggling with living in the moment. I seem to be exerting far too much mental energy on worrying about the future or pondering the ever-so-popular question: “What if?” While this may be a  very human tendency, I find that for myself, it is not a very healthy one.

Yesterday on a relaxing drive with Ryan, I started thinking about the paths we all take to get to where we stand today. All of them are so different and so perfect in their own way. This made me certain that fate is in fact something that we create for ourselves. The choices that we make each day—both big and small—determine the twists and turns that our paths will take. It is up to us to write our own story. When we spend all of our time in our heads, living in the past or the future, we miss out on life as it quickly passes us by. We miss out on the little things. And if there is one thing that I’ve realized this year, it is that the little things are what we hold on to for comfort during the hard times. The little things become the big things.

Live in each beautiful moment fully and completely. Let each second of conscious wrap itself around you. It is another moment that you are alive and breathing; and at the end of the year, it’s the little things that will be making you smile the most.
